Vador Cookies Bag crochet pattern

Some of you requested that I make a pattern of my Vador bag [link], so here it comes!

Before beginning, you have to learn Tapestry Crochet aka Jacquard Crochet, you can find the basic technique here [link]

I worked with a steel hook size 7 and cotton yarn N°5. But you can try with bigger hook if you have the matching yarn.

Used:
* Chain (ch),
* Single crochet (sc),
* Decrease (dec) : insert the hook into the first stitch of the row, yarn over, draw through the stitch, insert the hook into the next stitch, yarn over, draw through the stitch, yanr over, draw through the 3 loops on the hook,
* Increase (inc) : 2 sc in the same stitch.

You work back and forth in black.

Ch 110, turn
Ch 1, Single Crochet each ch (=110), turn
Repeat 29 times = 30 rows.

You finished the bottom of your bag. Now you only work in round.

Change color to white and leave the black under the work (without cutting it then) ch 1 , 110 sc, change to black continue around the edge 30 sc, and then begin to follow the pattern.
For example, the first round would be:
black 29 sc, white 6 sc, black 9 sc, white 2 sc, black 3 sc, white 8 sc, black 2 sc, white 4 sc, black 21 sc, white 3 sc, black 1 sc, white 1 sc, black 4 sc, white 1 sc, black 1 sc, white 3 sc, black 1 sc, white 5 sc, black 3 sc, white 3 sc
To finish the row, black 30 sc around the edge.

At this point, work the pattern only in the back loop so you can have a smooth texture on the surface.

When the Vador pattern is completed, we have to finish the bag with the handle.

Cutt off the white, leaving only the black : 280 sc
Repeat 9 times (= 10 rows) slip stitch in the first of the round, Turn,
Ch 1, 30 sc, turn,
Ch1, 1 decr, 26 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 24 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 20 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 18 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 16 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 14 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 12 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 10 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 1 dec, 8 sc, 1 dec, turn,
Ch 1, 10 sc

Continue the handle until desired length

Ch 1, 1 inc, 8 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 10 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 12 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 14 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 16 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 18 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 20 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 22 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 24 sc, 1 inc, turn,
Ch 1, 1 inc, 26 sc, 1 inc, weave in ends. Leave a long tail to sew the handle onto the bag.

And voilà! It's done!

If you want to want to add a zipper, just make 2 crocheted strips ch 110, turn, (ch1, 110 sc) x 12 and sew them inside, where the black and white join together.

J'ai utilisé un crochet de 1.5 mm et du coton N°5. Mais vous pouvez le faire avec un crochet plus gros si vous avez le coton correspondant.

Points utilisés
Chaînette (ch),
Maille serrée (ms),
Diminution (dim) : piquer le crochet dans la première maille, un jeté, tirer le fil, piquer dans la maille suivante, un jeté, tirer le fil, un jeté, tirer à travers les 3 boucles du crochet,
Augmentation (augm) : 2 ms dans la même maille.

On travaille en allers-retours en noir.

Ch 110, tourner
Ch 1, mailles serrées dans chaque ch (=110), tourner
Répéter fois = 30 rangs.

Le fond du sac est terminé. Maintenant on travaille en rond.

Changer la couleur par du blanc blanc et laisser le noir à l’arrière du travail (donc sans couper) ch 1 , 110 ms, changer pour le noir et continuer le long du côté 30 ms, puis commencer à suivre le modèle.
Par exemple, le premier rang donne :
noir 29 ms, blanc 6 ms, noir 9 ms, blanc 2 ms, noir 3 ms, blanc 8 ms, noir 2 ms, blanc 4 ms, noir 21 ms, blanc 3 ms, noir 1 ms, blanc 1 ms, noir 4 ms, blanc 1 ms, noir 1 ms, blanc 3 ms, noir 1 ms, blanc 5 ms, noir 3 ms, blanc 3 ms.
Pour finir le rang, noir 30 ms le long du côté.

A partir de ce point, travailler uniquement en brin arrière pour avoir une texture plus douce au toucher.

Une fois le modèle Vador terminé, il faut faire la anse du sac.

Couper le blanc et continuer tout en noir : 280 ms
Répéter 9 fois (= 10 rangs) maille coulée dans la première maille, tourner,
Ch 1, 30 ms, tourner,
Ch1, 1 dimr, 26 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 24 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 20 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 18 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 16 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 14 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 12 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 10 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 1 dim, 8 ms, 1 dim, tourner,
Ch 1, 10 ms

Continuer la anse jusqu’à la taille voulue.

Ch 1, 1 augm, 8 ms, 1 augm, tourner,

Ch 1, 1 augm, 14 ms, 1 augm, tourner,

Ch 1, 1 augm, 26 ms, 1 augm, arrêter le travail. Laisser un long brin pour coudre au côté opposé.

Et voilà! C’est fini !

Si vous voulez rajouter une fermeture à glissière, il suffit de faire 2 bande en crochet ch 110, tourner, (ch1, 110 ms) x12 et de les coudre à l’intérieur, où le blanc et le noir se rejoignent.
